STAY
Each of our ten guest rooms are uniquely designed and feature works by local artists.
There are nine bathrooms all of which have walk-in showers and some feature free-standing bathtubs.

1811 - 2026
Designed by the architect John Smith, who later designed Balmoral Castle, Manar House was built in 1811 for Hugh Gordon who named the estate after the Mannar Straits where he earned his fortune in Pearl fishing. From the logo to the names on the doors inside, you will find subtle nods to the history throughout.
The house was then purchased in 2020 by Christina & Dean Horspool who have painstakingly restored the property back to its former glory. With a lot of love and hardwork, they have poured their personalities into the property and Manar is now ready to be enjoyed for all who stay.
